Immunizations
and Preventative Care
Preventative care is very important to your pet's happiness and
longevity. The annual examination is one of the most important steps
you can take to make sure your pet remains healthy. During this
visit, other recommendations relating to vaccinations, heartworm,
flea, and tick preventatives, geriatric care, and dental care can
be made. *
Immunizations - In order for your pet to fight
disease more effectively, yearly examination and vaccinations are
recommended. First year boosters for puppies and kittens are extremely
important to get your young animal's immune system stimulated and
ready for any challenge it may encounter. *
Yearly examination - It is obvious that pets age
faster than humans and this is exactly why yearly exams are so important.
For example, imagine how much your health has changed in the last
5-10 years. Similarly in one year's time, many changes may occur
in your pet's health.
Flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives - Very
important! (Check out our products page.)
Medicine
and Surgery
There may come a time when our pets need more than preventative
care. We offer a full range of medical and surgical treatments for
the pets we treat. Our goal is to explain the problem and give you
the information that you need to make the best decision you can
for your pet. Although we try to offer all the services needed by
our patients, occasionally a problem arises that is outside the
scope of our treatment capability. If this occurs we will offer
a referral to the best qualified individual for your problem.
Medicine - Full-service medical facility providing
treatment for minor medical problems as well as involved, ongoing
medical problems.
Surgery - Full-service surgical facility offering
elective procedures such as spay, neuter, and declaws and more aggressive
surgical procedures such as orthopedics and challenging soft-tissue
surgery.
Referral Service - There are many specialists
in various fields of verterinary medicine located within 1½
hours of Oxford. This gives us the ability to offer you the very
best veterinary medicine has to offer when your pet's problems fall
outside our comfort zone.
